Managing Director
Sally Phillips
Having joined the Ward Williams Group in 1998, Sally became the Managing Director of Ward Williams HR in 2007 when she became CIPD qualified. Sally is passionate about HR and believes in delivering the personal touch to her clients. Sally has a wealth of experience and has witnessed a huge change in employment law and legislation over the last few years. She ensures she gets to know her clients and their businesses and firmly believes the success of her business is inextricably linked with the success of her clients. Sally helps her clients with numerous HR exercises, and is supported by a fantastic team.
HR Director
Kim Dalton
Kim joined the team in 2014 and was appointed Director in 2021. Having undertaken many of the HR roles within Ward Williams HR she has a great insight into the operational side of the business. Kim enjoys a long standing working relationship with our Clients and enjoys the challenges in solving and supporting them through unforeseen situations. With a keen interest in growing the business, Kim is responsible for writing and publishing HR/Employment law related articles, blogs, and recording podcasts.
HR Director
Emma Franks
Emma joined the team as our HR Manager at the beginning of 2023 before moving to the role of HR Director in January 2025. Having worked in a variety of senior HR roles over the past 15 years she has brought with her a wealth of experience from various different sectors. Emma enjoys building meaningful partnerships with our clients and providing pragmatic guidance and solutions to ensure business success
HR Coordinator
Hannah Tompkins
Hannah joined the team in 2024. With a wealth of customer service experience, she joins us to embark on her HR career. Hannah has exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail and is a highly skilled administrator. Hannah is delighted to have the opportunity to understand and learn more about Human Resources within her role at Ward Williams HR.
HR Co-ordinator
Evie Smith
Evie joined the team in June 2023. This is Evie’s first HR role, having previously worked as an Apprentice Hairdresser and Receptionist. She is keen to develop her skills and to complete high quality HR documentation along with putting her knowledge to practice by providing clients with fantastic customer service. Evie is delighted to have the opportunity to understand and learn more about Human Resources within her role at Ward Williams HR.
Payroll Manager
Carla Johnson
Since joining Ward Williams as Payroll Facilitator Carla has progressed to Payroll Manager and has recently completed the 2 year advanced payroll practitioner certificate as part of her 3 year CIPP payroll management degree. Carla and the team keep our payroll clients abreast with payroll legislation and statutory changes and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. The team offer a full start to end process of the payroll function and can also assist clients with any ad hoc processes they require.
We know our stuff! Our team of HR specialists are CIPD qualified and are so confident in our services, we offer indemnity protection service to prove it! This means costs are covered in the event of any claim, and your business remains risk free.
We take the time to get to know our clients and their businesses, and in turn they know each member of our team.
We offer a variety of packages – most of our clients opt for the full monty ‘annual retainer’ but you can ‘pick ‘n’ mix’ to create your own bespoke package. Whatever your needs, we can cater to suit and you can still tap into us for any additional ad hoc support you need.
